Protest against CAA: A Challenge to India’s Sovereignty

The way protests are getting organised by common people against Modi Shah it seems that Modi is a false image in Indian politics. It is a manufactured image created by the RSS and media. It looks like that in 2019 general election there has been use of EVM in many constituencies. Their supporters only know how to create a riot or a crime or a terror but in a peaceful moment they are nowhere. Modi's image needs to be deconstructed by which his real support of ten percentage comes out in financial transactions and the RSS support. Both are equal which is a tragedy in Indian politics. Modi Shah is interested to reconsider the CAA under public pressure which is not enough. As it an attempt to attack the Constitution, only demand by all of us that peace will prevail only if the government withdraws the act and gives a promise that they can rule under the Constitution without harming it. These people are untrustworthy, nobody can trust them.

The way people oppose the move of CAA of Modi Shah show that they are turning from passive secular to active secular. This is a big shift in mentality of people. They accept Indian model of secularism that everyone has right to carry his or her identity. The way people dress does not affect secular values of a society. This is not understood by Modi that in an election speech recently he taunted the way a section of people dress. This reflects his poverty of understanding but people of India came to the streets.  · Those allies supported their position on CAB inside the parliament today are taking a news stand on NRC.

The chief minister of Odisha has announced that his government will not implement the NRC in Odisha. He is to be congratulated by all living in Odisha that a peaceful society based on harmony is not going to be disturbed by implementing NRC which is a divisive act by Modi Shah. But as the party president he may act against Mahtab, a MP of the BJD party for giving a statement in favor of NRC.

Protests by youths all over India exhibits their understanding of Indian history that it is youth who played an active role during the national movement against imperialism and communalism to achieve freedom. To defend their freedom against fascist forces they came to the street. In their historical imagination, Gandhi, Tagore Ambedkar Nehru Patel Azad guided them to act collectively in a peaceful manner. They handed over two uneducated rulers a single text that is Indian Constitution and told them to read Art 5 which says that citizenship is based on birth not on the basis of religion. This protest movement is going to be a golden chapter of contemporary Indian history.

In protesting against the CAB of Modi Shah in Delhi one citizen Mehra belonging to Odisha felt emotionally and committed suicide by pouring petrol on his body. He is a brave soul needs to be remembered by all of us. Seventeen people died of these movements. Working out a Constitution is more difficult than writing a Constitution. In both ways Hindutva doesn't have experience. They haven't written any Constitution not even the RSS does not have a Constitution and not a registered body or its account gets audited. It knows how to subvert a Constitution by enacting CAB. This proves a point that those who don't have children don't know how to handle them with love and care. As most of their leaders in RSS are bachelors they don't know how to take care of children. The same rule is being applied here in working of an important Constitution in the world. The center is unable to control, anarchy is unleashed.

 India a sub-continent is experiencing turmoil because of Modi Shah’s policy of Constitutional Amendment Act framed by both of them in consultation with the RSS. This is the root cause of such disturbances of high intensity, then Modi must remove his Home Minister and reverse the amendment. This will bring peace and harmony. Popular protests of students and workers all over India have produced a limited result. Both Modi and Shah have given a statement in clarifying the position on CAB that will not affect the citizens. But this is not enough as it is against the Constitution for which only alternative before the government to withdraw act. Let us hope that public anger gets articulated in a peaceful manner which will produce the final result. There was an all India students strike in the year 1942. That resulted in independent India and framing of a Constitution. Today’s attacks on Constitution have created an all India students movement to save Constitution. Salute to bravery of students.

 RSS does not have a concept of university. They are scared of knowledge. They hate Buddha as he used to stand for knowledge. Caste hierarchy has collapsed because of modern knowledge which questions Manu who is the thinker of the RSS. They are dead against universities as most of their ministers do not have proper degrees. Former education minister is just a matriculate. For them universities can be handled by the policeman. Their attacks on Jamia and JNU are symbolic actions against modern knowledge. On Sunday Delhi experienced the massive rally organized by the Congress Party which indicates the decline of the BJP. Modi government after coming to power in 2014 declared for the Congress Mukta Bharat. But the Congress as the party of Indian national movement knows how to have a balanced growth in India with justice for each section of society. The inclusive policy of the Congress Party is pushing the BJP from its political space. As Hindutva a regressive ideology which disrupts social harmony and lack of understanding of economy makes the economic slide down. Today India is on the verge of social disharmony because of its CAB which brought people to the streets.

 Politics of disinvestment of public sector has created anger among dalits and tribals as there is reservation policy pursued by the public sector companies. Arrogance of power and ignorance of economic and social problems has made public sick of the Modi- Shah rule. Will it bring an end to the sun of the Hindutva rule?

After Modi came to power he gave a slogan to strengthen public administration in India that less government and more governance. The best example is Jharkhand where governance can be tested for the last five years. The chief minister was an ex executive of Tata Company. Governance is supposed to deliver public services such as education, health and mid-day meal and public distribution system. In primary education it has further declined as per Niti Aayog says. In the case of health services, it has further deteriorated as per the same organisation. in the case of PDS according Prof Dreze who is doing his field work from Ranchi University has gone down. This has resulted in death of children and their family members without having access to food. Mid-day meal has been misused by the administration. Mr. Das enjoyed his term as chief minister started collecting rent for giving licenses by leasing mining. The candidate who defeated him has listed his corruption cases. His government was not less but more for the corporate houses. Modi's slogan has got fruition and less government and more governance. His government had a poor track record in maintaining the law and order that there were fourteen cases of murders by cow vigilantes which is on the top of list but minorities and tribals feel unsafe in the state. Modi according to managers of the election campaign body of the BJP gave their hero less public appearances. The Election Commission conducted in five phases of election which indirectly supported Modi for going once in each phase. This has resulted in defeat of the BJP and their chief minister has lost which is a part of history. Marx defined ideology as false consciousness. Hindutva is hundred percent false consciousness. Their rule exploits public for a period of five years. Their loss in Jharkhand explains their ideological bankruptcy. Opposition’s win explains the politics will return back to performance. 

Loss of Jharkhand from the ruling BJP has been explained by timid media as the politics of local issues which is an absurd remark. As if local issues have no relationship with the national or central government's policy. Let us examine their views that high rate of unemployment among tribals of the state has a close association with the central government's policy of the public sector. As tribals used to get their quota because of implementation of the reservation policy but with the privatisation or closure of public sector for some years under Modi has affected the unemployment. Let us examine the working of public sector in the state which got started with the government's policy of the central government have got sick today without any demand created by the government. Agricultural policy of the central government has affected their grain production in the state as there is no real price for their goods. Today's inflation of essential consumer goods is the result of central government's policy. Modi is ruling like King Luis 14 without bothering of problems of common people spending time abroad and enjoying his days with beautiful expensive costumes and visiting the foreign land and meeting the stylist political leaders has not improved our relationship with the foreign countries which requires a policy of non-alignment which is being sabotaged by him and his foreign minister.

Modi-Shah have a view of a single Nation and a single law by abrogating the Art 370 from Kashmir has derived from Mein Kampf that Hitler discussed it in the first Chapter that Austria a German speaking state should not have a separate existence as it should be merged with Germany. Imposing of Hindi comes from it. He doesn't believe in Cultural pluralism. Language as the basis of a nation is derived from Hitler. Has Modi learned his concept of hyper nationalism from Hitler's Mein Kampf? In the first chapter Hitler discussed hatred against France as nationalism as Modi's concept of nationalism is based on anti-Pakistan. His six years of rule in each election meeting he uses some anti-Pakistan statements. The Congress leaders went to Gandhi Samadhi and took an oath in the name of Constitution of India. They all read out the portion on Preamble. As Preamble is a statement of people of India where voice of each group has got articulated in it. They all show that Indian state is a contractual State where each group be religious or class or ethnicity have given their commitment for forming a constitutional state which can protect their rights enshrined in the Chapter on Fundamental Rights. Modi government by enacting the CAA has created an attack of Himalayan nature on rights of people. Their right to equality their right to liberty and fraternity have been affected. They jointly are protesting against such a brutal attack on them. It is a real battle in saving Indian Constitution from the attacks from Modi Shah government.

Sovereignty of India depends on better economic growth supported by social harmony. When India used to borrow food under the PL 480 then America was dictating its terms with India. With agricultural growth we became self-sufficient in food production which gives leverage to India in International politics. Social harmony supported by economic growth specifically Industrial growth created fear among powerful nation. With the decline in Economy these countries have started looking differently. This may result in weakening India’s position in international politics. This is going to be a blow to pyramid of global politics as India was representing a group of nations in the developing countries as a group of 77. Modi’s policies have reduced the position of India as a sovereign nation in International politics. His divisive policy has pushed India to marginalization in UNO as India is a party to international agreement on religious freedom and social harmony. Such a sectarian policy of CAA has created fear in the minds of liberal intelligentsia as neighboring nations like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have taken a strong stand on CAA.
